Somewhere along the course of our travels, haikus have become an integral part of our relationship. I think it started years ago, when Don and I would email little love haikus back and forth while we slogged through our days at work.
We’ve compiled a small collection of haikus about Nyana, and, naturally, dubbed them Nyanakus. We invite you to join in on the fun. Submit your Nyanaku using the comment box below. Don’t feel you need to adhere to the traditional 5-7-5 format. Have fun!
It’s all so tiny
Ears, eyes, nose, fingers and toes
But she’s tough as nails
Silly little brat
pulling on your breathing tube
diva-licious girl
Smallest head I know
I palm it like an apple
She seems to like it
IV in her head
Didn’t see that one coming
Hooray for morphine!
Sure she can hear us,
We joke and laugh and sing songs.
Things that sound like love.
Will she this or that?
What’s her favourite this or that?
So many questions.
Baby on morphine
is not what we had planned on
but what can you do?
Tiny hands and feet
Growing stronger every day
so in love with you
Three pounds of sugar
is all it takes to melt me
that’s one sweet baby
Here before the snow
Growing, loving, and being
Awesome perfection.
Thanks for being the first to play along, and with such a lovely haiku too!
Little ying yang of Karen and Donners
takes longer to cook a perfect human
im coming mummy and daddy
How can one so wee
Fill so many hearts with glee
Nyana, you rock.
Even far away
We can see you every day
Grow little one, grow!
Some tiny toes
the red light monitor
for all you Nyana fans!
Anticipation
I LOVE my funny parents
Soon I will come home! =)
Sweet little angel face
Growing stronger everyday
with daddys kisses and mommys embrace
A good week is this
Breathing sweetly on your own
Stay strong precious child
Due date is today,
<3
Calendars are not your strength,
Silly Nyana!
nyana you teach
everyone about keeping
hope. and how to love
